Looking for a shop job
Looking for a shop job
If anyone needs the extra hand I'd love to help with anything, it'd get me off my butt and out of my house an maybe something to do lol. Considering I've been looking everywhere for several months now and have found nothing is rather sad... JACK OF ALL TRADES RIGHT HERE I just need something lol.

its never to late. comuntiy colleges hold classes there is also s.a.m.s. here in houston.not saying you cant do it on your own but where else can you get a pro trans builder to teach you everything you need to know and build your own trans in three weeks. yes you could get an atsg manual and get it done but your not getting the 30+ years of experience. i took most out of electrical and drivability, auto trans. i knew everything else for the most part.

Yeah, I was taught by the internet... and while I'm more than competent, I feel I would be more efficient if I ware trained in some way. At the very least, I would have been at my current skill level several years ago, thus much kick ass today.mooreofit wrote: ....not saying you cant do it on your own but where else can you get a pro trans builder to teach you everything you need to know and build your own trans in three weeks. yes you could get an atsg manual and get it done but your not getting the 30+ years of experience...
tl;dr DO IT NOW
Re: Looking for a shop job
Yeah I actually got work today finally. I work on and off for a place called Eggers on stage, aka upstage. We did load in today at like 9:40 am unloading fifteen eighteen wheeler trucks and taking all the equipment and setting it up, carpentry, audio, lighting, video, the whole 9 yards for Toyota Center. It's great gotta love the $10 and hr pay for someone like me haha. But yeah an education let alone knowing what you're actually doing is key. I can't just jump on a engine with a shocked wrench and attack it like I know what I'm doing.
Unless you want a screwed up car pick this guy!

^ That makes me laugh because you're probably right. Eh I'm sure I'll find something in that field soon.
