. I got tired of having to fight this when taking them in and out. Not to mention the fact that the seats don't lean far enough forward for a fat kid like me to easily access the backseat. Tedd(jdmwhiteboy) gave me some old Corolla(AE86) seats he had laying around. 2 were crap and torn badly in places, the other was in great shape and I plan on making a (86)Garage Chair out of it [really] . So... I decided to see what all had to be done to swap frames over to my much more comfortable MR2 seats. On the passenger side seat on the inner rail, a 10mm dia. hole needs to be drilled in the upper rail to mount the rear seat bolt. On the driver's side, a 1/2" dia. hole needs to be drilled for the lumbar adjuster shaft to come through. Other than that, straight forward and only took me about an hour to do both seats. Now they bolt in properly, lean all the way forward, the passenger seat slides forward when you hit the rear passenger lever on the bottom of the seat. Sorry I didn't take any pics of said modifications, but my driver's seat is torn and I plan on swapping another set of MR2 seats onto these rails now that they have been modified. We all know that AW11 MR2 seats will work in an AE86. A little persuasive prying is necessary to line up all 4 of the bolts though . I got tired of having to fight this when taking them in and out. Ugh I really need seats I have some half ass bolted in cressida seats that don't line up for shit. Are aw11 seats common?

I'll sell you mine! it's more common to find aw11 mr2 in a junkyard than an ae86. But you still want ae86 rails. I have some recaro seats going in mine.
