[quote="McKenney"]Well, can't finish bolting the trans to the bellhousing. The adapter for the internal slave is either drilled wrong or the mount ring was welded on the wrong side. FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! And it looks like I have to modify the stock W58 throwout bearing collar as the internal slave won't even come close to sliding over. All the parts are amazing quality, but I'm pissed that I get the kit that was wrong...

so should i not buy the t56 adapter from 1uzfeswapkit? and can you please re explain what had to be done to get it to work.

im at the point where i was going to order it.

one of the pieces I got was made wrong. if you'll look here's a pic of the modified input shaft housing. Just shave off the entire input shaft collar. The front seal is on the inside of it so this doesn't effect sealing. It's still a great setup, it will also use the clutch and pressure plate from a 3sgte or a 3vzfe. I went with the 3vzfe one from a 1995 4runner because the stock pressure plate is 1500psi vs 1100psi for the 3sgte. I also used a stock clutch vs. going aftermarket right now. I'll post more pics tomorrow of the final modified pieces.

and heres the prelim mount up of everything. I'm gonna clearance the bottom to clear the input cover so I Can remove it without the bellhousing if ever needed as well as the holes for the lines and install my grommets.

don't mind the shavings everywhere and all the dirt. This is just initial mockup and testfit. Going to clean up better later this week.

More like a prick and a dropout... but thanks for the flattery. I have a long way to go but I'm getting there. Still have to source an LS400 oil pan and pickup and a few little odds and ends. But gotta pay bills first. Hopefully next paycheck will bring forth the rest of the little things and I can get started.

Then on to the body work and paint! Oh yeah and swap the interior. Anyone wanna buy a decent black interior minus black door panels?
