Just another FYI... Parts for both are going to suck getting ahold of. I knew this when I started my 20v swap but now that I actually need stuff for it it's really sinking in... I vote for a swap you can easily get parts for that don't require special order from a importer that takes a month plus to receive....
Just another thing to think about... And I believe the 20v is worse than the sr in this category..
SR20det vs 4age black top
Re: SR20det vs 4age black top
SR20 parts are not to bad to get a hold of. get on zilvia.net 240sx.com etc. those nissan sites. sr20det engines are fairly common amung the 240sx owners. which there is a lot of. I managed to pick up an ignitor, exhaust, and various other parts somewhat locally.. and i'm out in Nebraska.

Re: SR20det vs 4age black top
Having had 2 sr20 ae86 has been fun. I would do 20v though and save yourself the hassle. My second build was tediously done. And I went over everything that could go bad. But it just isn't worth it. Sr20= more stuff that could possibly break. And downpipe routing is a b*tch!!!
