Just 1 vac line here.
And dont even think about removing those vac lines! They are what make the carb work, and self adjust. You would have to do alot of capping off and even then, might not get it right.
Just get a 32/36 weber off ebay for a few $ and call it a day.
Be sure to get the progressive! Not the vacuum advance junk.
Uhhhhhh the stock carb will work without all that bs I have seen several with about 5 lines total that ran fine

My first sr5 I had about 4 vacuum hoses on the stock carb and it ran good, it just didnt get the same mpg, it got mpg like a webber.
I say if your going to spend your money, don't waste money on the 4ac, get suspension stuf first. The stock 4ac has enough power to wet drift and dry drift, suspension mods will help you more than trying to squeaze power out of a 4ac, don't get me wrong it can be done...but webber < 4 link.
weld that diff cheapest and easiest mod to make it get sideways and cut them springs to eleminate that horrible rear end bounce and make the car more predictable.

please dont weld the diff when you have a stock sr5 corolla springs and rear end are the least of your problems. Plus the fact is a 4ac is going to have hell pushing a welded and it will make you a lot slower while in drift.
im not sure if i completley agree with that because i have seen that welded diffs on 4ac ae86's did infact help it but i know that their is no way alex is going to do it either way either way trash that sewing machine and get urself a smallport with itb's :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

help what? going even slower while sliding? I will agree that welded makes it retarded easy to do a power over but it also makes your drifts super slow and lame
well as soon ass the 6MGE gets mounted, I won't have to worry about being slow in the drift. also I just want to clean up the engine bay and keep my gas mileage until I have all of my parts and the fab work gets done. No more meesly 1.6L's . I'm gonna have 3000 ccs of pure torque!
Muah ha ha ha ha!

of course, this guy right here is speaking out of personal experience..... jk
But welding my diff was the best thing I have ever done..... besides the fender exhaust. When alex drove it, he looked like a little kid in a candy shop, but he swears up and down its a horrible thing to do.
People always say that you will break the axles, I hauled at least 1klbs to the scrap yard today and it didnt have any problems, U-turns and all.

suspension indeed before engine.
lol you have no idea how many cars I have drivin. I do know that welded diffs will not help you increase your skill level. If your a shitty driver a welded will just make it worse yeah you can get the car to slide eaiser but you will also be slow. If your a great driver then sure welded will help but when you dont have any skills it will just make things worse. Welded diffs are why fwd hondas can keep up with you while you drift in open parking lots.
well ive never really drifted unless in the rain or a couple of times in a bigger space swaying the car because my lsd was worn to shit and had bent axles still dunno how it happened super wierd. but i seemed to do pretty well for my first event with a welded i guess it really does just depend on the driver i dunno, it can actually make it harder on you in a way if you dont get used to it or aware of how it will act on your car when i let ameen hop in my car the first couple of laps he understeered the shit out of it but then he kicked major ass in it. if you are not able to get aware of your cars reaction i suppose it could make it worse. having and lsd is allot diff but i like it fully locked for numerous reasons. i guess it does just depend on the driver. i wish i can find a way to make it out to more events but i got 500$ spending money for this summer trip and ive so far spent 40$ on a hooka and i dont want to spend any of it i am trying to save up for greddy coil overs :D ive got like a month and a week till i come back home
My first sr5 was a stock 4ac welded diff hatch, it sucked ass too. I can do far better drifts in a 100% stock sr5 vs a welded diff sr5. I do tend to beat up on drivetrain however with very high speed inertia and kick clutching because with a 4ac in the dry there is no such thing as a "power over"
I found the welded diff in hvguy's ae86 ok, it was in the rain the first time I tryed it and it felt ok but the axel hop was horrible, I was just waiting for something to break. In the dry it still had some hop but not nearly as bad, the drifts felt like the lasted as long as a stock 4ac with a open diff. Let me drop a few pounds off my car and dust off my helment with some seat time and I would not mind challenging hvguys ae86 vs my ae86 in a dry drift competition.
Just fyi, it wont be the same.... and it wont be triangle powered for that event.
Got back form this HUGE junkyard i found.... and I got a..... part, I was thinking of putting a 1zz-fe i found. But im worried about finding a tranny for it.
