totally agree, i usually waited for them to close their door, then locked it and locked mine on the way out of the car. saved the explanation... and their response to 1980's innovation!

omg yea i always wait to get out of my car untill the passenger gets to lock up they always ask what are you waiting on i tell them to lock the door. they always say "I locked it" then i always have to tell them that there is a trick
