Intro from Charleston, SC

Post by Flatbroke »

Hi everyone,

Hello and thanks for letting me join your community. I've always liked the ae86 hatch - Hachi Roku right? Sorry I'm pretty ignorant about these cars. I was more into imports in my younger years, and now put most of my time and energy into my 1960 Oldsmobile:

I've built the car to be a 1960's style custom, much along the lines of what my car club, Los Boulevardos, stands for. If you have any questions about the style, just let me know I'm always happy to chat about it.

So why am I here? Well yesterday I made a trade and took home a 1987 Toyota Corolla Coupe. Its a sweet little car. Runs well, all complete, interior is mint, minimal paintwork. Its a nice one and its basically stock on a cool old-school set of 14" Momos that I really dig. I'll post some pics this weekend. I'm on the fence about what to do with it, as its too nice for me to leave outside (the garage is pretty well filled up by the olds hahaha...). So fair warning, I may take advantage of the classifieds section of the site and pass this little cream puff of a Corolla on to one of y'all. But we'll see. I'm tempted to slap some coilovers on it and have a little fun!

Cheers,
Alex

Took some pics today. Fun car! Stiff suspension leads me to believe there may be more going on underneath than I'm aware of :)
