Down Draught Carburetors - $OLD

Have a set of 38mm down draught R1 carburetors. They're sporting a set of 150 main Mikuni main jets interestingly (a little too big for a stock 4AG). 38mm carbs (inner venturi) are more than enough for most 4AG motors.

What year bike were these from? They seem slightly different compared to the other R1 carbs i've seen. Are those plates chokes?
