Hey guys,
Just found 86garage and noticed all the great information and the community involved here, thought I'd join and say hello! Got an 86 Hatch w/ Smallport and mostly suspension/braking modifications.
Goals:
Make it a fun car that I can take to the local Knox Hillclimb and track days/time attacks (MRP, Ridge, Pacific, etc.), as well as a fun street car...maybe some drift days if I feel so inclined.
More for driver feel/enjoyment rather than power.
Plans:
Stay High Comp Red Top (Must stay 16v, my preference)
Redline Weber Carb kit
TRD 304's or equiv Cams
12.5:1 Compression
Lightened bottom end/rotating assembly
Stock GTS gearing
Full interior
Full Roll Cage (to spec)
Full Rust repair
Repaint
130-150whp target power
Bare essentials for comfort (heat, wipers, no power anything, etc.)
Attention to Detail is KEY with this build.
Current Mods:
Nardi Classic 340mm wheel
Full SR5 Interior (simplistic by nature)
1.5way TRD LSD
Smallport High Comp 4AGE w/ custom welded intake manifold
HTS 102R Shocks
Shortened Front Casings
6kg coilovers up front (custom)
6kg TRD springs rear
Porterfield R4S Brake pads front and rear
Slotted/Vented Rotors
Front Upper Strut Bar
Stock sway bars Front and Rear
In the garage:
87' AE86 GTS Hatch
90' Honda Civic Wagon
2011 Honda Ruckus
Thanks for reading, looking forward to contributing =) .

Re: Hello from Canada! (Vancouver, BC)
I am on DK! Have been since 2006. To be honest I joined 86Garage because the community seemed very tight-knit and refreshing so I thought I'd sign up. The fact that you guys originate from Texas sounds great, I hope you all don't mind me being around here .
