FS:4age motor

Post by drift »

the motor cam out of a 85 ae86. previouse owner had torn it apart for what reason i dont know. will need a rebuild but from what i know and seen before it was torn down. it ran perfect and had maybe about 40-45k miles on it. does not come with valve covers and like i said. its torn apart so the head and block is sperated. will sell seperately also if anyone wants just the head or block. ill try and get photos up tomorrow

whole engine $150 obo. buyer pays for shipping

Where are you located? Which head is on it?

No rush, I spent all my cash on my garage the other day... Definitely need a g head though. Is it in pretty good shape? Luckily I have valve covers and most everything else that goes along with it. I really only need the head itself, but if you want to throw in all that other stuff, that's fine. LMK how much you want for it.

yeah, its in good shape that i know of. like what i said, the engine was running good and i don't know why the previous owner ever took the engine apart but it had really low miles. il try an get some photos up later on today but if you want just the head then ill $75 but youll have to pay for shipping and add the paypal charge in it also. just let me know when you are gong to buy it and ill check out the shipping prices on it. ill let you know if anything else comes up also since a buddy of mine just bought a sr5 86 also but i think he's going f20.

Any chance you could grab a pic of the bottom of the head so I can see the valves?

heres pics of the block. now the top of the pistons do have some rust build up and that liquid looking stuff on the pistons is oil. also, it doen not come with an oil pan so please dont ask. oh, one more thing. i talked to my buddy which is the one that purchased the car with me to see if he ever talked to the previous owner about why the engine was torn apart and he said that he had blown the headgasket and had torn it down to rebuild it but moved out to cali and never finished it. other than that. its all the info he got from him.
well, heres the block

not really sure. all my buddy told me was that he had talked to the guy a few days later about why the motor was torn apart and he said that the head gasket is blown but he never said why. we just bought the car mainly for parts since we got the whole car and parts for $600.
