This one is going to be a steel structure like you mentioned but only a two bay. My ARP studs and oil pan windage tray finally came in today. So now I have all I need to assemble the 3TC.

If you noticed, the tray covers the whole rotating assembly. The oil pan by itself doesn't do much to prevent oil from dragging the crank. Its just a cheap mod to free up some HP. On another note, I decided to hold off on the bike carbs for the moment until I break the engine and clutch in. I cleaned the Weber 32/36, replaced gaskets and got to see the mystery jetting. @Dr.Occa i'll have to ask you about this later when I look at my notes...from what I recall the mains were both 140's maybe and the airs are 160 (primary) 170 (secondary). I'm not sure what this translates to. Oh and also there is no choke connection at all (butterflies just dangle).

@dr. occa am I going to need a relay for the R1 fuel pump? I believe the relay regulates the voltage which in turn regulates the pressure. Could I run it directly to ignition?

I'd run a relay none-the-less for any e-fuel pump. I also always incorporate a manual on/off switch primarily for safety and to be able to turn on the car without the pump coming on right off the bat at initial start. Another option you can employ is a brass check-valve between the tank and the pump so that there's always fuel in the line already making it a little easier for the pump to start pulling fuel.

Still missing misc. things like hoses, alt. belt, spark plugs, etc. Almost there though, waiting on a/f wideband gage kit to come in the mail. The E-fuel pump needs more planning before I pull the trigger on it but I found a nice spot for it in front of the tank. It's just a matter of the reach on the hoses. I'll figure that out later.

Been driving it around all weekend and it sounds mean but the bark is louder than the bite. It goes flat when I floor it. I'm thinking it's the power valve in the weber. It's just a few bucks so I'll replace it and see. I also took it to get inspected in they said their dyno was down so they couldn't do it. Huh?! Since when do you need a dyno for a safety inspection on a carb exempt vehicle? Did I miss something? Anyway, I went to the Jiffy Lube across the street and they went ahead and inspected it but in the process, they managed to back my Rolla into the car behind it and left a golf ball sized dent on the driver's side rear corner. Of course they tried to keep quiet about it hoping I didn't notice but I did. I kept my cool but I was super pissed. Since the car is not painted yet, and it looks like I can pop it out from inside the trunk, I told the guy to just cover the inspection cost and we'll call it even, whatever.

For $10 and 15 minutes of my time' I replaced the old power valve diaphragm and got double the gas mileage I was getting with the old one, and also gained 2 seconds on my 1/8 mile ET's. no joke. Although I don't plan on keeping this carb, I'm using it as a tool for learning.
