Gauging interest: front coilover conversion "Potluck&am

Post by dr.occa »

those interested chime in a yay or nay.

we'll decide on a location.

need to know who has a decent TIG welder w/ already with a full bottle willing to donate for use.

need to know who has a decent miter saw w/ a metal cutting blade. (i have one)

an angle grinder.

who'll provide enough drinks for everyone (no alcohol but we can make a beer run later)

we can chip in and order pizza (e.g. papa john's...) that way everyone can focus on doing portions of the projects rather than cooking.

and any other suggestions.

those interested in having the mod performed, please provide YOUR OWN STRUT CASINGS, STRUT CARTRIDGE & COILOVER COLLARS.

I would say what ever fits, but one that has a weldable perch would be best.

I did this ALOOONG time ago on mine but I'll be there to help :).

I bought a pipe cutter when I did mine, so I'll bring it. Makes PERFECT cuts!!!

Count me for the angle grinder too (I have TONS @ work LOL).

I might have a MIG but would need a waaaay bigger bottle.

I have a tig but it would need a water supply, a bottle, and some tungstons. I think we should use a tig though

Correct, but Im hoping to have more than enough $$ here in a few days to be able to move back around next friday or so. And I doubt the meet will be asap.

NEWS JUST IN!

NonStopTuning has opened their shop for this meet. I'll be working on a date w/ NST so stay tuned.

No BBQ unless you bring pre-cooked BBQ. no cooking, just modding responsibilities.

i'll get w/ certain individuals for specific tools. let's not have a chaotic everyone bring whatever. this way there isn't 10 angle grinders & 5 sets of wrenches but no welder or pipe cutter.

Stay tuned for the date and other related announcements.
