A local guy that drag races his sled bought a wrecked sled for parts and didn't need the carbs,Being the awesome guy that he is he just gave them to me.
They aren't to hard to find for well under $200,just google for sled wreckers.

Just thought I'd update,I have the engine running pretty well now.I'm running 14lbs with afr's in the mid 11's at wot/full boost.
It pulls very nice now for sure,1800lbs and low 200's for hp as a guess so power to weight is good.

My brother took a quick vid at the last autox of the year,if he sends it to me I'll see about sharing.

nice up on the psi.

as far as the carb gaskets go, all still paper gaskets or did you go with gaskets of a stronger material like copper?

as for the 20v bottom end, did you fab up a tranny-engine brace for the passenger side or just did without it?

thanks for keeping us updated. if you get some time, it would be nice to see your car w/ build and all in the Toyota garage section.

awesome job once again.

I used the factory metal gasket for the 16v head, the one for the tvis plate.
I didn't bother with the trans brace,I removed those years and years ago to save weight.

I might throw a write up and further pictures at you down the road, home renos, building a new shop, and building a new ice race car in that new shop keeps me from the spending too much time online.

Thanks for the compliments btw.

kevlar,

'cuz of you i've gone ahead and decided to experiment w/ a set of flat sliders now. (you're a bad influence  you know that).

i've got a second engine i planned on prepping for EFI but this is looking all too tempting for me.

Ok here's a crappy vid my brother took with his camera at the last event. Its not very flattering as I embarrassingly ran low on fuel(didn't figure it out untill after)and it started running a little sour at the start of the run,on the 1st long right hander it was missing and I was looking at the gauges for a sign of a problem while it cleared-missed the line and got into the dirty stuff and coned.Near the end of the run it again ran even worse just behind the trees so I was coasting, cleared up and accepted throttle fine for the left hand sweeper in the stop box.Sounds lousy in the stop box with the fuel at the front of the cell and pick-up at the rear of the cell.
The tires are 225 toyo R888 r-comps,lights them up easy enough.
