4 link qestions
4 link qestions
does any one have a set of the oem 4 link bars sitting around i was reading the diy 4 link on c4ag and i found some bushings to replace the heim joints. but i dont know how wide the oem bushing is to compare to. i am also wondering the length of the arms from hole to hole as well. any info will help thanks.
are you talking about the rear four link cuz that is used to adjust your pinion angle after lowering. if you are talking about the bushings then it is for street use since the streets are too harsh to use the heim joints and will end up ruining the heim joints. i would rather use a bushing setup insteadNasser wrote:how big of a diff does it really make, like whats the point i mean on

I too have a set
And I also have a bunch of extra suspension parts for the sr5 "just in case another axle break were to occur"

nothing was really wrong with it. i needed money to spend time with my son. thats why i sold it. if it was up to me or if i would have been able to come up with the money w/o selling it i would still have it and it would be running nice now since i'm starting to make money. the chance of finding another running gt-s coupe is going to be hard. i'm willing to trade my q45 for a bone stock, no a/c, no radio no nothing as long as its running of course. i want a corolla again so bad.Nasser wrote:yeah you should have never sold it or until you found another one at least what was wrong with it again?landslideATX wrote:yeah i got an adj pan hard bar and that made a big difference. then when i put the adj 4 link it was tits. i loved it. i miss my hachi.

Good thinking welded diff guy. But I don't think you have enough power to break an axel yet
The 4 link is a good starter mod, it will help a good amount with the suspension yet it doesn't cost a arm and a leg like coil overs, T3, Megan, Home made, doesn't really matter when your dealing with a aluminum pipe and some threads. 4 Link just takes some time to replace, sometimes the old 4 link can be stubborn.

if you lower your car you would need an adj 4 link as well as adj lat bar to adj the pinion gear as well as the stance of the rear end. the people that lowered my old corolla bent the lat bar, thus causing it to break under the strain of drifting.
