Well we cant brame Toyota It's how they moving forward. Car world has changed it changed to be more economy. That's why you see more FWD car. FWD = less cost + more economy.
And we have to admit that we are not even in their market. (yet)

Well sadly Toyota scrapped the 2ZZ engine....
But they have a few interesting 4cyl new engines in the pipeline coming in the next couple of years.
Keep an eye on the 2ZR-FAE and the 3ZR-FAE. 1.8L and 2.0L with dual VVT-i and the new Valvematic technology (New version of the LIft Thecnology).
These new engines don't put out the high numbers of the 2ZZ but they provide more tq and provide a very linear power delivery.
