Re: starlet 4k dizzy
Why the starlet distributor pray tell?
Re: starlet 4k dizzy
from what i understand, this will be the best dizzy to use in my carbed 4ag. iirc i have this or a MSD etc as my main options. i also heard that a 4AC dizzy works if you do something like switch the 2&3 spark plug wires.
the short of it is, i think this is the simplest way to go about it. correct me if im wrong.

Re: starlet 4k dizzy
The 4K is a proven solution. The 3/4AC dizzy won't work due to the fact that it spins in the opposite direction. The weights would retard timing rather than advance timing upon acceleration.

Re: starlet 4k dizzy
That could work but you'll need to have some sort of an ear tig welded to the ring or some sort of lock tab fabbed to keep the distributor from rotating.
One from an 82-83 would be more ideal.

Re: starlet 4k dizzy
Sorry, that doesn't look right either.
A great place for referencing parts and cross-referencing is http://www.rockauto.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is the distributor that you should look for.
Check out kp61.net if you haven't already. It's a forum dedicated to the Starlets this distributor is from.

Re: starlet 4k dizzy
The 2/3TC or 2TG distributors should work as they spin clockwise as well. You'll need an adapter to will help it fit to the 4AG head AND you'll need to source the driven gear off a 4AG distributor.
Re: starlet 4k dizzy
so what youre saying is that a 2/3tc dizzy will require the same modifications as a 4k dizzy?
a simple(not so much to me) adapter collar and its good to go?
