15x8 +25 fit te72?
15x8 +25 fit te72?
Was wondering if the enkei 92 15x8 +25 wheels will fit a te72. I do have flares but I'm worrie about on the backside.
Re: 15x8 +25 fit te72?
if the te72 is anything like the ae86 then i would say no that is too much back spacing. you can measure your car to see if they will fit. the back spacing on a 15x8 +25 is 5.5inches. so you can take a straight edge and put it on the flat surface of your hub then from the straight edge you can measure the closest thing which in most cases is the strut tube. if you get a measurement thats more than 5.5 inches then the rim will fit but you should also take into consideration the bulge of the tire if it isnt streached.
also a 1 inch spacer will also alow these to fit on your car

How will these not fit? They will fit fine but will look awkward with flares, even on a stock body.

15x8 +25 and you are wondering how they wont fit? they wont fit due to the wheel hitting the strut casing. these have too much back spacing. this would fit fine under a 240 or something simmilar.hotdoghogie wrote:How will these not fit? Isn't +20 the deepest you can go?

that is what i was thinking but i started searching and found this wagon that claims it is running 14x10 +0 so maybe it is possible to fit them under a te72GamblerZ wrote:Isn't +20 the deepest you can go?

Re: 15x8 +25 fit te72?
Just went out an measured my car. I'm running a 8.5 with a 0 offset I have about an 1-1/8 of clearance from my front strut casing. You are wanting to run a 15x8 +25 offset. 25.4mm= 1in so take off 1/2 an inch 12.7mm That gives you at least half an inch of clearance. You'd be hard pressed trying to find a tire that will balloon out that will fit your car that isn't a race tire or hit your lower perch of your spring, so you wont need to worry about the tire rubbing. They will fit as long as you are modest with the tire size.

But if you have flares I wouldn't recommend them, it would look awfully goofy. I'd find something more aggressive.
Re: 15x8 +25 fit te72?
Are those measurements presuming neutral camber? If so, then any negative camber would exacerbate the clearance problems even more.

Strut case and wheel clearance are static.

Ok I'm going to have to suck it up. Working on my rolla today I noticed I put washers behind my wheel last time I was working on her while I was figuring how to get more clearance for steering angle. So no they WILL NOT fit without some sort of spacer. G'day sir.
