thats how it was explained that its for off road use only...You would have to go through NHTSA and all so not worth the hassle.

Why is that? The car come with CA title and is older than 25 years old so it does not need to pass NHTSA/emission at the time of entry. There is an exemption for 25 years and older I believe.

I think the reason why it still on sale because the car is in CA and in order to register in CA the car need to pass the inspection which it won't in CA. But that won't be a problem here in TX.

I'm not an expert but please correct me if I'm wrong because I almost bought this particular car couple weeks ago. I was working on a deal with the seller when he was going to part out the car. I was going to take the rolling chassis but the buyers for front end and drive train back off so it didn't happen.
So if you have more info please let me know because I do not want to get into trouble later.

Plus if anybody want to get this front end of this coupe for $1200 let me know.
