whats a good upgrade for front and rear brake calipers without having to go up on rim and tire sizes

Most likely custom brake brackets of some sort whether you go aftermarket like Wilwood or even go cross model or manufacturer.

Here are a few I've heard mentioned but I've never verified:

Rear Calipers -
Nissan Primera
VW Golf MKIV (Audi A3/A4?)
Celica (MA45) <-direct bolt on I hear
