Does anyone have any idea what the codes that are cast into the casings of the pinion housing to the steering rack mean? Google turns up absolutely nothing on this. The spline length of the pinion is the same on both of the MR2 racks.
I have three different racks with three different codes:
Re-Manufactured Corolla Rack: 7GL13
MR2 Racks: 7GL11 & 7GL19(maybe 7GL18)
If anyone has a manual rack hanging around that can contribute to this list it might help solve the mystery. It might be something as simple as the mold number, but it would definitely be interesting to know.
Steering Pinion Casing Codes
Shocks, springs, coil overs, ride height, bracing, cages, etc...
