the truck was paid for and driven away on monday. but my heart sank and also went out to the young man who purchased it: i had warned him to be sure to start breaking early. well, one of his friends in a new cobalt who accompanied him on the journey shot out in front of him (as per the truck's new owner) and the guy in front of them slammed on his breaks, and the rest is as you would expect.
the truck's driver side fender and bumper is dented in. i happened to be driving by on 45 and saw them in the Competition Sales parking lot w/ a couple of officers.
i had advised him to replace either or both the booster and proportioner too. i even asked him if he wanted to take it for a spin first just to get use to it. hopefully, his spirit will pick up and he'll fix it up nicely.
