POLL: STATEWIDE 86 MEET

Alright, guys (and gals?). Since we need to get a definitive date on this meet in Austin, I've set up a poll to see what weekend would be best for everyone. So come and vote!

We've got April:
9-11
16-18
23-25

i voted for the weekend of the 16th. The corolla get-together should be the main event. And the track record for this year for getting together at a drift event, isnt all that great. There was a similar poll done for the NST event, and 16 people said they'd show, and many did not...

again, we need to have the minimum # of cars for this event. Aaron and I drove from Dallas to Houston the last time with the hopes of seeing lots of cars and owners, and was a bit disappointed. just didnt want this to be a repeat.

dont get your hopes up mark. me and aaron have been through this a couple times. nst wasnt that bad. there were alot of people from the forums there we just didnt know cuz they didnt bring there cars. i didnt even realize. i really want to meet at the track event with or without my car but thats me. i will do my best to be here!

i put in my 2 cents for the 23rd -25th. as long as my better half gives me the thumbs up i'll be there.

I agree with mandm177 I think this corolla meet should be the main event. I voted for the 23rd that way everyone has ample time to ask off work, get cars fixed, and save moo-la. Friday drive down to Austin and have a small meet up. Then round rock donuts in the morning, last time I was there It was back in high school for a trip and I love that place. Let the local guys lead a cruse, then main event (bbq at someones house or something downtown)? Sunday can be left for the people to head to the drift event or just have a lazy drive back home.

Friday, we chill, get together at someone's house/garage/etc
Saturday, we chill, get donuts, cruise, hit up salt lick, chill some more
Sunday, we chill, then we track from afternoon to night.

yep, thats the idea that i had going on as well. And the drift event does give people another option as well. Anyways, i'll probably be good for either weekend, so lets just set this thing up!

because everyone is all over the DFW area, i think somewhere on 45 is good...maybe 45 and 20 or a bit further down would work. We'll set up a time and place to meet as it gets closer and there's a more solid schedule put together.

Hey guys, I've been working on a rough sketch of the cruise. Right now it looks like from Round Rock Donuts to Salt Lick BBQ - the cruise is going to be ~120 miles - including the infamous lime creek road and the scenic devil's backbone... Of course, this does sound REALLY long to me, so I can always shorten it. It does have a good amount of twisties here and there (ESPECIALLY Lime Creek Rd).

But if that seems like too long, I can definitely cut it down.
