Thanks guys.

I miss the 86 a lot. I have to get it done one way or another, even if it means I dont get to work on it myself. On the plus side, college is going pretty good and if things keep going at this rate I should be able to graduate by May of 2011.

Ill keep you guys posted as work on the car continues.

Nope.

Theyre sold.

Anyway, Im done with this semester. So my number one priority right now is to get this car back on the road. The bottom end is currently being built by my brother over at Tandem Automotive. The head is currently getting rebuilt at the machine shop.

I may be coming across a JDM rear bumper, so I need to sell this GTS USDM bumper if anyone is interested. How much do they go for?

So thats pretty much it for right now. I'll get some pictures and put em up as soon as i get a chance.

Thanks guys!

I big thanks to tandem automotive. They've been doing most of the work. Im definitely going to have to put on a Tandem Sticker on there. =P

But yeah, the car is almost done. It should definitely be ready by July. Hopefully I can make it out to the next drift event.

An update:

Sorry guys, its been crazy.

Anyway, we finally got the car running again and I have been beating the crap out of it on a regular basis. Only 500 miles after the rebuild the valve train started making a whole mess of noise so I had tandem look at it. Sure enough, 14 of the 16 valves had way too much clearance. So I had tandem adjust every single valve to the smallest end of the clearance range and now the car is much quieter!

So after the car was pretty well set up, we took it out to some time trials and a drift event. We got our butts kicked at the time trial. But the drift event is where the car showed alot of promise. Granted, I suck as a driver but damn, the car was fast. Really hard to drift though. Once you find the sweet spot there is no room for mistake. Too much angle and its almost impossible to bring it back.

Anyway, here is a picture of the car with marks wheels on.
