have you actually started yours yet? Aren't you using the 1uzfe? What are your plans for the steering?
I have thought about doing this for a long time and even talked about the idea before, but I actually have access to 2 shops now where I can work on it, between the 2 I have access to a lift, several chain hoists, badass mig welder, plasma cutter, and everything else that I can think of besides a mandrel bender to do the cage.
I would like to get with you a bounce thoughts and ideas off each other.

no still havnt started. i want to get the 86 done first. i have decided to go with the lm7 and nv3500 tranny. 50 more ponies and only a couple pounds heavier. plus i only have to get one cam ,way cheaper, more side clearance for headers. performance upgrades are way cheaper.

yeah, I am not using a v8. gonna stick with my silvertop. i am no professional at this shizz and the reinforcing you will need to hold a v8 will be ridiculous. have you found any errors in my initial plan that you might point out? also i am still open for ideas on front suspension/steering setups. I have one idea but am not going to speak on it until i know if it will work or not.
