I know this is a dumb question, but I can't take off the bolts that hold the lift support on my corolla. I wanted to replace the lift supports with two new ones, and I didnt know if I need to remove the bolt, or if there was a special way to remove the lift support. Let me know if anyone can help me out. Thanks.

10 or 12 mm open end wrench. Just unscrew them.

I tried, its not working, it keeps slipping off. Thats why I was wondering if it was something else that I might be missing.

Re: Rear Hatch Lift Support Removal Question
They may need some Kroil or PB blaster w/ some coaxing from a hammer to creep some lubricant into the threads. If your wrench is slipping, they may be a bit stripped. May try a pair of medium to small vise-grips.
