So it's a GT86 across the pond and it's an FT86 in JDMLand and even badged as a Toyota.

It was my understanding that the ft86 was the concept, Toyota GT86 in Japan and Europe, Scion FRS in the USA and Subaru BRZ all over the world.

So you only get the Scion, without all the great stuff like LSD, ... That's a shame. So you have to buy a BRZ to get the performance oriented version of the Neo86

No actually, the FR-S does still come with LSD IIRC. It's the badging and aero which is different from models sold outside of N. America.

Yea we still can get the all the options that the rest of the world gets. Its just that in USDM they think the car would sell better under the scion label since its Toyota's idea of a young and hip brand of cars. Even though the average age of a xB buyer is above 40 years old. Sooooo we just have to deal with a scion badge and buy the GT86 bumpers ourselves. There's an awesome pic that puts all three versions of the cars next to each other I'll have to find it.
