rx-7 toyota swap

Post by ga_goosh »

Im just curious how other motors will perform in a fc rx7. would a 3tc perform well in the fc? any thoughts? I know the ls1 swap is a very popular and impressive swap but the price of an ls1 is the price of another car. im asking since i have accumulated extra toyota engines and wouldnt mind dropping one in a shell of some sort just for another running car. I know the fc is a light chassis and the rotry lacks tourque. Im not sure as i dont know a whole lot about rotarys. if the performance of the 4ag or 3tc is not enough for the fc please let me know what point of view you have on this subject

Just do a 1JZ. The 4AG isn't going to solve the torque issue, and the 3TC makes good torque (for a 4 cylinder, that is), but it wont be as cost effective as the 1JZ.

well actually that is why im asking i basically got a 3tc for free and i have a spare 4ag. i came across a cheap fc shell and I thought about throwing them together to have another car. the 1jz is the not so costly part lol i would rather do a 1jz but im just seeing about what i have. there is no real ambision here im just speculating really.

F it, thorw the 3tc in a fc. I know I have not seen one done. While your at it hellaflush the car and the you can use that as an excuseas to why you cannot speed if the 3tc feels too slow lol. :P

The FC is 400 to 800 lbs heavier than the AE86.
