Got bored so I hit up a local Dyno day at AWDtuning in Flower Mound, TX. Ran the 86 on their AWD Mustang dyno, these dynos are known as "dream killers" mainly because they tend to give a more real-world reading. For big carbs on a small motor and a street tune I have to say I was impressed for what she did put down. Looking at the power curve I do have some fiddlin' I have to do but hey its a start. I was going for lowest hp there but I got beat by a 90's vw lol. Just getting the car on the dyno a lot of the spectators there wouldnt believe me it was a 1.6L, I also had an argument with one guy trying to tell me it was a v6 >__<

Pull #3
BHP 113.1 @7647 RPM / 82.7 MPH
TQ 97.3 @ 3007 RPM / 32.6 MPH

Anyways pics and vids

...Wait, you spilled the beer and punched the car out of frustration and that's why your hand is bandaged...maybe?

Well it started out drinking beer and working on the 86. Got her running and went to put gas in her. Was getting on her pretty hard and I went to shift from first to second. My hand slipped off the shifter and ran into my seat rail for my bucket. Next thing I know my hand hurts and there's a lot of blood. Went to the doctor yesterday and didn't have to get stitches just got to keep it clean and let heal. Love my dumbass mistakes.

Looks like she wanted you to know what women do when you ignore them. Everything is going smoothly...that's when you get taught a lesson ;).

AfreakingMEN!

Ok so small update, I have finally bought new jets and correct throttle linkage for the 86. So for the first time really, I got into my carbs. Now I was told they are 48mm dcoe's but I still haven't confirmed that.

Main 165
air/cor 160
emulsion tube f11 (this is oem for this carb from what I read)
Timing 60BTDC

Now with the advice I got from Dr.Occa and what came in my jet pack, only mains and air/cor, I am currently at

Main 130
air/cor 180
emulsion tube f11
Timing 20BTDC

Other than the two jets and timing I haven't touched anything else. She starts up nice and drives normal just fine. However, when I am on it up past the 6k rpm range I can feel her struggle. I already replaced the spark plugs but still she doesn't have as much pep then. I am still very much a n00b at this so its a trial and error, I just hope I don't lean the old girl out. Any thoughts?

P.S. I haven't installed the linkage yet cause Im still trying to figure out how it goes!
