My Hilux

Post by Overdrift »

Yeah its been a very long trip for me threw the cars I have owned... I have been searching for a 22r truck for about 2 years now. Ever since my grandmother gave away my uncles old 83 isuzu truck which I hoped would one day be mine I have been wanting a small truck. I found a lot of small trucks out there but I had to have a toyota, and well now I finally got my way.
This truck is basically a clone of will's truck, same options, color, year model (both trucks over 250k miles) . I picked her up today while looking at trucks with will and will telling me about this hilux... Thanks again will!!! I ow you one! I talked the guy down from 600 to 500 cash. It has 286xxx miles on it but doesn't appear to have much blow by unlike most with this mileage.

Heres a few pictures for everyone!

hell yeah. I finally got the starter in and got her up and running. I think it does have a blown headgasket but its a very small leak. I am going to change the oil in a little bit and fill up the coolant to verify. The "paint- thinner" gas has destroyed the carb's idle jet and I have to take the carb apart to repair it. I'm going to drive it like this until I get my weber.

Thanks!

I cleaned the engine bay a little, it was better before I double checked the amount of blow by without the pcv connected (a fair amount of blow by, not nearly enough for a 286k engine... maybe it was taken care of or replaced?)

I took a quick snapshot of the paseo on my way out.

some misc fun things in the truck

Can't cruise with cold a/c without a nice sub to listen to.

When its quiting time I hit the door running. I fire up my pickup truck and let the horses run... I go flying down that highway to that highway stuck out in the woods and do the boot scoot boogy?
